BTMS is able to emulsify high levels of silicones, such as Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone, increasing the detangling properties and silky feel to products when used. It is also a great emulsifier for skin care products such as creams and lotions as it helps to soften the skin, leaving a soft non-greasy feel. It can be used in a wide variety of applications including creams, deep conditioning hair relaxers, hair conditioners and detanglers. Typically the recommended use is 1-5% in conditioner type formulas or up to 10% for more viscous emulsions. Because there is cetearyl alcohol in the product it will build viscosity the more you use.
